This year, CTS are sponsoring and taking part in the The London Legal Walk, which returns in the usual format of a 10k route through central London on Monday 18 October.
We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust which funds Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London. They support free legal advice centres through the provision of grant funding, supporting infrastructure of the sector, and helping agencies reduce costs and save money via pro bono or discounted schemes to service those who are unable to afford to get legal advice.
Matt Torrens, Head of New Business at CTS, says: “I passionately believe in our support of the London Legal Support Trust and their impactful work in the face of the legal aid crisis. A CTS team are walking to raise much-needed funds for charities that provide life-changing legal advice and representation to those in need. We are looking forward to walking with colleagues, clients, partners and friends alike and, of course, to the street party, music and entertainment.”
With only 4 weeks to go, over 500 teams and 3,000 walkers have already registered to walk (or run) to raise money to support this brilliant cause. If you could like to donate, you can do so by visiting our Virgin Money Giving page here.
